Meet Steve our new Development Officer

Posted on July 20, 2020 by

We are happy to introduce our newest member of staff, Steve Chamberlain, who started his role just before the Covid-19 lockdown. Safe to say his first months in the job haven’t been as planned! Below Steve tells us a bit about himself and his new role:

“Hello Everyone,

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Steve Chamberlain. I have recently been appointed as Llais y Goedwig’s Community Woodland Development Officer for S.E.Wales. I have had the privilege of working with volunteers in South Wales for many years now. The last ten years with the Environmental charity Keep Wales Tidy covering Newport and Torfaen with occasional projects in other counties so I may well know some of you already or vice versa. My interests and expertise include traditional woodland crafts and woodland archery.

I am in post three days per week and will be working in Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen Caerphilly, Newport and Monmouthshire so if you have an interest in creating a woodland group or already part of an existing one, thinking of adopting a woodland or even creating one from scratch or anything associated with woodlands in these areas id love to hear from you and hopefully be of assistance to your cause.”

Please feel free to contact Steve via E-mail – steve@llaisygoedwig.org.ok or 07534 414001
