Raising awareness of fungi and fungal science in the UK on the weekend of 10th and 11th October 2015 at Museums, Science Centres, Universities, Botanic Gardens, Royal Horticultural Society gardens, Nature Reserves and Parks near you!

In partnership with the Society of Biology, the British Mycological Society’s UK Fungus Day will launch ‘Biology Week’ 2015 with a range of public engagement events that focus on raising awareness of fungi and fungal science.

Last year over 80 events took place around the UK.

Events will range from fungus walks, talks by fungus experts, information displays, hands- on family art and craft activities, public lectures by leading academics, fungi and art, fungi and food, fungi in science and much more.

Events will involve input from academics, educators, field mycologists, industrial scientists and fungus enthusiasts. Come along and learn more about what fungi do for us and why it is important that we study them.
