Training: Seed Collection and Setting Up a Tree Nursery

The Long Forest hedgerow project (www.longforest.cymru) is a partnership between Keep Wales Tidy and the Woodland Trust.

As part of the project they are running two seed collection and nursery training events through the Woodland Skills Centre, The Warren, Bodfari, Denbigh, LL16 4DT  https://woodlandskillscentre.uk/

Friday 27th September 2019 – Introduction to Growing Native Trees from Seed

Learn how to produce useful plants on small nursery sites. The course covers selecting seed source trees, collecting seed, storage, treatment, planting and aftercare and is suitable for people who want to produce small quantities of trees from local sources for their own use.

Thursday 3rd October 2019 – Growing Native Trees from Seed course

Learn how to produce useful plants on small nursery sites. There will be practical work and we will collect and treat some seeds and look at small-scale nursery techniques.
