National Tree Charter Day

Posted on October 21, 2019 by

Be part of National Tree Charter Day on November 30th and join groups from across the UK pledging to fight climate change in a mass tree planting campaign. If you are holding a planting event the Woodland Trust will promote it on their national events page to encourage volunteers from your local community to get involved. This could be a great way for your group to meet potential new members and residents who haven’t visited your woodland yet. To take part you will need to download a form [click here ] and return it to bcfadmin@woodlandtrustorg.uk

If you use social media to promote events and activities, you can include the hashtag #EveryTreeCounts to raise awareness of your tree planting event too.

Kilvey Hill Community Woodland Volunteers will be planting across NRW and Council owned sites with over 100 student and community volunteers, showing a great collaborative effort down in Swansea. Caerphilly Woodlands Trust will be planting 100 trees on 1st November with volunteers from the community and in Machynlleth, Gerddi Bro Dyfi Gardens will be planting trees with volunteers from the community including Llais y Goedwig staff and Forestry Hub organisations including Coed Lleol and RSPB.
