Llais y Goedwig is recruiting: Capacity Building, Business support & Communications/Development

Posted on October 14, 2015 by

Llais y Goedwig, Wales’ Community Woodland Network, is a voluntary, grassroots membership organisation that promotes and represents community woodland groups in Wales and supports local community woodland initiatives.

We are looking to fill four key posts that will help us widen the network and strengthen community woodland organisations in Wales over the next two years:

The Business Support Officer will ensure that work plans are progressed, grant returns made, budgets managed, events set up and paid for, bookings taken and the myriad of support requirements that are vitally important to the smooth running of the office and the organisation are met efficiently and effectively. Good front line delivery needs to be supported by good planning and co-ordination, especially where members of the team, including management, will be working remotely. Salary £20,000 per annum (pro rata) 20 hours per week

Capacity Building Officers x 2 (North and South Wales) will strengthen practical support for communities wishing to establish new community woodlands and for established groups. The aim of the posts are to build sufficient capacity amongst organisations and Community Woodland Groups in north (or south) Wales to encourage, support and sustain vibrant community woodlands so that communities and agencies no longer need support. Salary £21,000 per annum (pro rata) 20 hours per week

The Communications & Development Officer will ensure that Llais y Goedwig members benefit from the numerous opportunities for partnership working, collaboration and synergies with other organisations that exist in the statutory and voluntary sectors in Wales and to help Llais y Goedwig ensure that the community woodland voice is heard in the necessary arenas and debates in Wales. Salary £25,000 per annum (pro rata) 20 hours per week

All officers will work under the direction of the Llais y Goedwig volunteer Board, and in close collaboration with other Llais y Goedwig staff, members and partners

Closing date for applications is Monday 9th November 2015
