2nd March LlyG on the Radio Llais y Goedwig will be featured on the Country Focus programme on Radio Wales on Sunday at 7am (or you can listen later on iplayer…). Chair Roger Davies will be talking about the Single Environment Body proposals, and also the upcoming Llais y Goedwig conference in Machynlleth next week. Troserch woodlands, who are members will also feature with an interview recorded at their woods.

13th Jan A LlyG board member recently attended a stakeholder meeting of UK forestry interests in the Draft RDR which will come into effect in 2014. The purpose of the meeting was to prepare a representation to DEFRA for them to take to the next round of negotiations on the RDR. It was also a good opportunity to learn more about the new RDR- to find out more see the report YMA.

29th Nov The Llais y Goedwig national conference and AGM will be held on the 9th and 10th March 2012 (Friday and Saturday) at the WISE building at the Centre for Alternative Technology. For more details see YMA (page will be regularly updated as more details are confirmed).
21 Nov Llais y Goedwig are now members of Wales Environment Link (WEL) Llais y Goedwig has recently been approved for associate membership of the WEL network. For more details on WEL see http://www.waleslink.org Members are NGO’s from throughout Wales, more details on the other WEL members can be read in the WEL directory available here: WEL_In Touch_WELSH_Nov2011 Hopefully this membership will aid in Llais y Goedwig’s work on forest policy, and in helping to build links with ministers and other contacts with influence in this area.
Woodland Skillshare event a great success! The event at Coppicewood college on Saturday was attended by 25 members, who enjoyed a sunny day of sharing skills and information in a woodland setting. Big thanks to Nick, Barbara, Bruce and all at Coppicewood for an inspiring and informative day.
