Llais y Goedwig is the association created by woodland community groups in Wales for mutual support and to represent the interests of scommunity-led woodland groups in Wales.
A Community Woodland is a woodland for people. They can be owned and managed by a constituted community group or simply cherished but, most importantly, used by local people. Community woodlands can be any woodland type, large or small, in either urban or rural areas, and vary in the level of community involvement.
Local community woodland groups in Wales are delivering a huge range of public and community benefits, including recreation facilities, biodiversity conservation, rural development, jobs, renewable energy, woodfuel, other woodland products, opportunities for social inclusion, and outdoor education.
